Аннотация

This article analyzes Uzbek and English folk tales preserved in ancient manuscripts from the perspective of comparative literary studies and highlights the methods of their scholarly expertise. The study compares the plot and compositional structure, system of characters, symbolic layers, and linguistic features of folk tales from the two nations.[1] Additionally, the scientific significance of textual criticism, paleography, codicology, and linguistic expertise methods in working with manuscripts is substantiated. The article serves as a methodological foundation for the study of folklore texts based on written sources.[2]
