IRRIGATION SYSTEM OF THE ZERAVSHAN VALLEY AS THE BASIS OF THE ECONOMY AND REGIONAL PLANNING

In the article, the author highlights some of the features and conditions of the historical irrigation canals of the city of Samarkand, the Zeravshan valley, the problems of urban planning and resettlement, its influence on the formation of the general plan of the city of Samarkand, natural collectors of rivers, watercourses. The problems of preserving the architecture of the historical and natural landscape and the environment of the ancient city of Samarkand are touched upon.
