Abstract

This article is dedicated to the theoretical and practical aspects of implementing victimological prevention in penitentiary institutions. The article thoroughly analyzes the main concepts of victimology, victimological risk factors in the penitentiary system, and measures for their prevention. Drawing on research by foreign and local scholars, the importance of victimological prevention in the social rehabilitation of prisoners, the prevention of intra-institutional violence, and ensuring public safety is demonstrated. To develop this field in Uzbekistan, the article recommends utilizing scientific research, legislative reforms, and international experience. The study aims to enhance the effectiveness of the penitentiary system and facilitate the social reintegration of prisoners.
