THE ROLE OF A TEACHER IN A MODERN SCHOOL

The article examines the role of a teacher in the context of a modern educational system, notes the change in the functions of a teacher in connection with digitalization, globalization and changing educational priorities. A teacher acts not only as a carrier of knowledge, but also as a facilitator, mentor, mediator and psychologist, contributing to the development of students' personalities, their critical thinking and adaptation to modern challenges. Particular attention is paid to such aspects as individualization of learning, the use of digital technologies and support for the emotional well-being of students.
